At SB Talee, we are known for providing close and continuous support to our clients, ensuring the optimal development and performance of our varieties.
With the goal of further expanding our presence in international markets, we began 2025 with a tour by our Commercial and R&D teams across several strategic countries. During this journey, we evaluated the performance of our trial codes under different conditions and selected the most promising ones to advance within our global portfolio.
In this post, we share some highlights from our experience in China, South Korea, Japan, India, Turkey, Spain, and Italy:
China: We visited our exclusive agent, Kunming Brighten Floriculture, with whom we reviewed the testing of more than 100 new codes and shared knowledge on propagation and rooting, strengthening our collaborative work. We were very pleased to confirm that 50% of the catalog of varieties presented by Kunming Brighten Floriculture this year contains varieties developed by SB Talee; moreover, the variety Charisma is currently the number one in sales in China with the best flower prices in the local market.
South Korea: In Busan, we visited several growers alongside our representative Sung Hwan Byon from Kooij Korea Seeds. This visit allowed us to strengthen our commercial relationships and explore new growth opportunities in the region.
Japan: We met with two of our key partners, Inochio Fujiplants and Miyoshi Co., who every year test hundreds of our varieties and codes based on agronomic criteria and the unique preferences of Japanese flower consumers. One of the local growers proudly showed us a stunning bouquet of the Nobbio Burgundy variety, highlighting its quality and excellent performance.
India: The company Greenline Youngplants, led by its manager Mr. Shivaprasad, recently organized an “Open Day” in the Mandi area of Himachal Pradesh, near the Himalayas, to showcase our standard and spray carnation varieties to more than 300 local growers. The event was a great success—our plants were highly admired, and the growers expressed strong interest in cultivating SB Talee varieties to sell their flowers in the local market.
Turkey: Our Commercial and R&D teams also visited our client in Turkey, Gündes Tarim. In the photo, the variety Dulcinea, the top-selling variety in the country, stands out for its productivity, resistance, excellent stem quality, large flowers, and vibrant color!
This journey inspires us to continue innovating, sharing knowledge, and offering the world floral varieties of the highest quality.
